Uasb anaerobic reactor integrates bioreactor and sedimentation tank. It is a compact anaerobic reactor. The main components include: influent water distribution system, reaction zone, three-phase separator, water system, gas chamber, Dross collection system, sludge removal system, etc.

1.Influent water distribution system  The influent water distribution system is located at the bottom of the reactor. Its function mainly has two aspects: 1. Distributing the wastewater evenly to the bottom of the whole reactor; 2 has a certain hydraulic stirring effect, and an effective influent water distribution system is to ensure the UASB One of the keys to the efficient operation of the reactor.

2.The reaction zone reaction zone is the main site of biochemical reaction in the UASB reactor. It is divided into sludge bed and sludge suspension zone. The sludge bed zone mainly concentrates most of the high-activity granular sludge, which is the main organic matter. Degradation site; and the sludge suspension zone is the area where the floc sludge is concentrated. 1 The sludge bed is located at the bottom of the entire UASB reactor; the sludge bed has a high sludge biomass, and its sludge concentration (MLSS) is generally 40 to 80 g/L. The sludge active biomass (or bacteria) in the sludge bed is composed of 70%~80% of granular sludge. The particle size of the granular sludge in the normal operation of UASB is generally between 0.5 and 5.0 mm, which is excellent. The sedimentation performance of the sedimentation rate is generally 1.2~1.4cm/s, and its typical sludge volume index (SVI) is 10~20mL/g; the biological phase composition in the granular sludge is more complicated, mainly bacilli, cocci and Filamentous bacteria and the like. The volume of the sludge bed generally accounts for about 30% of the volume of the entire UASB reactor, but it plays an extremely important role in the overall treatment efficiency of the UASB reactor. The degradation of organic matter in the reactor accounts for the total degradation of the entire reactor. 70% to 90%. 2 The sludge suspension layer is located at the upper part of the sludge bed, which accounts for about 70% of the entire UASB reactor volume; the sludge concentration is lower than the sludge bed. It is usually 15~30g/L, which is composed of sludge with flocculation, generally non-granular sludge. The sedimentation speed is obviously lower than the sedimentation speed of granular sludge. The sludge volume index is generally 30~40ml/g. This layer of sludge is well mixed by rising bubbles from the sludge bed. The concentration of flocculated sludge in the sludge suspension layer is gradually reduced from top to bottom. This layer of sludge is responsible for 10%~30% of the degradation of organic matter in the entire UASB reactor. 3 The sedimentation zone is located at the top of the UASB reactor, and its function is to precipitate the solid particles (mainly the flocculating sludge in the sludge suspension layer) which enter the water discharge zone with the rising water flow due to the entrainment of the water flow, and precipitate in the sedimentation zone, and It slides down the inclined wall at the bottom of the sedimentation zone and returns to the reaction zone (including sludge bed and sludge suspension layer) to ensure that the sludge in the reactor is not lost while ensuring the sludge concentration in the sludge bed. Another function of the sedimentation zone is to ensure the effective space of the entire reactor plenum by properly adjusting the water level of the sedimentation zone to prevent the destruction of the gas collection space.

3.Three-Phase Separator The three-phase separator is an important part of the UASB reactor. It is usually placed in the lower part of the sedimentation zone, but sometimes it can be left at the top of the reactor. It consists of a sedimentation zone, a reflow zone and a gas cell. The main function of the three-phase separator is to separate three phases such as gas (biogas generated during the reaction), solid (sludge in the reactor), and liquid (treated wastewater). In order to ensure the normal operation of the UASB, in addition to the cultivation of high-settling, high-activity granular sludge, the separation effect of the three-phase separator is also the key to the success of the UASB. Its function is to introduce biogas into the gas collection chamber, introduce the treated effluent into the water discharge zone, and introduce the solid particles into the reaction zone. Due to the slow proliferation rate of the anaerobic process organisms and the large amount of gas generated by the anaerobic reaction, if the separation effect of the three-phase separator is not good, the large M sludge will be taken away with the water, and the sludge concentration in the reactor will be lowered. Eventually the entire UASB reactor collapsed. The three-phase separator is also one of the main features of the UASB reactor wastewater anaerobic treatment process. It is equivalent to the secondary sedimentation tank in the traditional sewage treatment process and has the function of sludge reflux. Therefore, the rational design of the three-phase separator is an important part of ensuring the normal operation of the equipment.

4.Effluent system The main function of the effluent system is to uniformly collect the effluent from the sedimentation zone and discharge it out of the reactor.

5.Gas collection room The gas collection chamber, also called the gas collection hood, is a component of the three-phase separator. Its main function is to collect the biogas generated by the anaerobic reaction.

6.Scum collection system The main function of the scum collection system is to remove the scum from the liquid level in the sedimentation zone and the liquid level in the plenum.

7.Drainage system The main function of the sludge removal system is to evenly remove excess sludge from the reactor.

8.UASB reactor features:

1. The granular sludge with good settlement is formed in the reactor, which can reach 40~60kg/m3, so the treatment load is high and the capital construction investment is saved.

2. Forming a good natural agitation by the uniform distribution of gas and water.

3. Design a reasonable three-phase separator to keep the sludge with good sedimentation performance in the reactor. There is no filler in the reactor, which saves investment and makes full use of the volume.
